Jeff’s ‘71 LS1 Monte Carlo PDF Print E-mail

We’ve partnered up again with Kremyr Chassis Works to do a drivetrain swap on Jeff’s gorgeous 1971 Monte Carlo. We installed a 2001 LS1 crate engine topped off with a VEMS  V3 EFI system and a few custom machined parts. All of this was mated to a 700R4 4s peed Automatic transmission. This car has been on the road for quite a few months and is a Semi Daily driver for Jeff.  We are happy to report that it has been extremely reliable for Jeff and makes excellent power.  However like most hot rodders Jeff is Horsepower hungry and is already saving up to add a top mounted Supercharger to his motor.  With his investment up front in the VEMS EFI system it will be an easy conversion, the MAP sensor in the ECU comes rated at 4 bar and is able to measure up to 44 psi of boost and fuel it accurately.
